At Clement Hyundai, being part of the community means more than serving drivers and helping people find the right vehicle. It also means showing up for causes that make a meaningful difference in the lives of local families.

That’s why we were proud to once again participate in Pedal the Cause, an annual event that brings thousands of people together to support cancer research and work toward a shared goal: creating a world without cancer.

This year marked the 17th year of Pedal the Cause, with participants, supporters, volunteers, families, and community organizations gathering at the Family Arena. For our team at Clement Hyundai, it was an honor to return and support an event that has made such an important impact in the St. Louis community.

Riding Toward a World Without Cancer

Pedal the Cause was created with a clear mission: to fund innovative cancer research that can lead to better treatments, improved outcomes, and, ultimately, cures.

Since 2010, Pedal the Cause has raised more than $56 million to support cancer research. The funds have helped hundreds of research projects at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

One of the things that makes Pedal the Cause especially meaningful is its commitment to directing participant-raised donations toward cancer research. Every rider, volunteer, donor, sponsor, and supporter contributes to a much larger effort to move promising research forward.

Over the years, that shared commitment has helped Pedal the Cause grow into one of the region’s most recognizable community events supporting cancer research.

Thousands Coming Together for One Purpose

While cycling is at the heart of Pedal the Cause, the event represents much more than a bike ride.

It brings together people whose lives have been affected by cancer in many different ways. Some participate in honor of a family member or friend. Others ride as survivors or in memory of someone they have lost. Many simply want to do something meaningful to support researchers working toward new discoveries.

That sense of shared purpose is part of what makes the event so special.

Seeing thousands of people gather at the Family Arena is a reminder of what can happen when individuals, families, businesses, healthcare professionals, and organizations come together behind one cause.

For Clement Hyundai, participating gives us another opportunity to stand alongside the community we serve.

Clement Hyundai’s Continued Support

We were honored to participate in Pedal the Cause again this year.

Supporting community events has long been important to Clement Hyundai and the broader Clement Auto Group. We live and work in the communities where our customers live, raise their families, build their businesses, and spend their time. Being a local dealership means we have an opportunity to contribute beyond the showroom and service center.

Pedal the Cause is particularly meaningful because cancer touches so many families. It can affect anyone, and progress in cancer research has the potential to change lives throughout our community and far beyond it.

Our participation is one small part of a much larger effort, but that is exactly what community involvement is about. When thousands of people each contribute their time, resources, energy, or support, those individual efforts can add up to something significant.

We are grateful to everyone who participated, volunteered, donated, organized, or supported this year’s event.

Continuing to Show Up for Our Community

Most importantly, we recognize the patients, survivors, caregivers, and families who give this cause its purpose.
